Acupuncture & The Spine

12/2/2021

What does your spine have to do with Pain ?In Acupuncture we work with many aspects of the body to treat pain. We work with something called Meridians, which are lines of energy that run through the body.

AND, over the years, I have found that a lot of pain originates from issues along the spine. We have something called dermatomes which are referral areas that stem from the spine. Sometimes there is nerve damage, arthritis or inflammation. That is why I always ask where the pain is exactly, and if it refers all the way down to the extremity, that can give me information on the type of possible injury. I may ask you to get more testing such as an MRI, or nerve conduction testing.

I combine Meridian balancing with this structural knowledge. This way we kill birds with one stone! OR two I guess! We can help bring blood flow and release muscles around the spine to allow blood flow and to remind help the nerves work the way they should.

Nerves communicate between the muscles and the brain. With Acupuncture we are re-establishing that communication, and reminding our body how to heal itself. Acupuncture is based on the body's own intelligence. If you would like to set up a free consult or time to chat about this, please let us know.
Warmly
Stefanie Rothert, Owner and Practitioner of Acupuncture for Wellbeing
